Description Flat braided microcrystalline wax-coated nylon tape designed for lacing wiring. What is wiring lacing, and why do it? In high-end harness manufacturing, a concentric twist is done to ensure that the harness is flexible while ensuring that all the wires are evenly stressed. In order to hold a concentric twist in place lacing is used. The lacing also helps ensure that the concentric twist is kept tight due to being wound in the opposite direction to the previous twist direction. Lacing can also be used for parallel wiring, and is commonly done so in aerospace applications. The microcrystalline wax-coating helps with knot tying and holding. The flat form of the lacing also means that it doesn’t show through the final heat shrink sheathing layer.
