It uses 65 mm flat hardened steel burrs (a step up from the 55 mm burrs on the standard Mignon Zero) driven by a 320 W direct-drive motor at 1650 RPM, which is what produces the “Speedy” grind rate of 2.3 to 2.8 grams per second for espresso. A 45 g blow-up hopper with an anti-popcorning system and a silicone bellows lets you load a single dose, grind, and clear the chamber so leftover coffee doesn’t end up in the next shot.
